Three years after Chameleons extintion it is edited an album which compiles the three live sessions recorded on 1981, 1983 and 1984 for the John Peel programme. Owe to these sessions, the sound of The Chameleons were shown to the public. The first and second sessions were done before the release of their debut album, and the last one was done between the debut album and the second one. This is why we can enjoy in this CD early versions of songs which would be developed for the second album. These versions are less elaborated than the studio ones but they have a freshness the studio versions don´t, and in some cases the lyrics are different.
An esential album to understand the origins of The Chameleons and the evolution of some of their songs.
